Canton's your_World products offer a simple way to get great sounding wireless audio throughout your home. The three main products in the family are the your_Duo a pair of amplified wireless speakers, your_Stick a USB/3.5mm jack transmitter and the your_Dock which is a remote controlled dock and charger for iPods and iPhones.


You can save up to £50 by purchasing a dock or stick with the speakers as a bundle together. Once unboxed setting these up is a walk in the park, simply plug in, press a button to set both the speakers and dock to the same channel colour (red, green or blue), pop your iPhone in and press play. In addition to the dock interface there is a line in on the rear for use with other MP3 players or computers. There is also a line out which can be used to link the dock to an AV receiver or other hi-fi system.


The Duo speakers themselves sport a superb gloss finish and feel weighty and substantial. We're big fans of the unobtrusive white but there is a black finish for those who prefer that. The sound they deliver certainly belies their small size, we were impressed by their punchy bass, clean midrange and sparkling upper frequencies. The Duo speakers are no toy like many cheap bluetooth speakers on the market, nor are they a one-box compromise as offered by most docking systems. Canton have created a simple and stylish hi-fi system without the pesky wires. All three devices do need mains power of course, but that means you're only limited in terms of placement by having a power socket. A good length of matching white mains cable is supplied with the power units for both speakers. Rubber feet prevent scratching the finish and most importantly dampen vibrations.


Found to the rear on a smart brushed metal panel there can be found a power input socket, channel select button used to choose which dock or stock to connect to and a zone select. Using this zone feature you can group various speakers together.


The your_Stick is just as simple to set-up as the dock, simply plug in to your PC or Mac, pick a channel and set your speakers to the same and you're up and running. There's no software required so there's no headaches with installation and drivers and such. As with the dock this niffty little product has a line-in socket so it can be used with just about any audio device. The base as a soft rubber backing so it will stay in place.
